The Blood Queen by Martyn Stanley is the third installment in the Deathsworn Arc series. Wizard Saul Karza and his comrades have made it back to the Empress, but she is not as Saul remembers. This book gave a bit more insight into some of the mysteries surrounding the female elf and the wizard, but I think the female character gets too much. Martyn Stanley added a status update: Been storming through DSA6 today! Nearly cracked 80k words all in! Big sections with Vexis, Elden and Fox just now. Melchiot is back in the story. Spoiler alert, there are some nasty characters in this series that are due some comeuppence.

The Blood Queen is the best of the three books in the Deathsworn Arc series. A better read. More engaging book than the others in the series. Finally we get an inkling of what 'Deathsworn' is! Outstanding!.
